The Cape Cod Cubs Selects of the IJHL will be hosting tryouts on July 19, 2009 for anyone interested in playing a 45 game schedule out of the brand new Hyannis Youth and Community Center in Hyannis MA. The center boasts 2 sheets of ice, private team lockers, basketball gymnasium, indoor track, conference rooms, and more (www.hyannisyouth.org) The team will be playing a 1/2 IJHL league schedule and 1/2 independent schedule against prep, AAA, and junior teams from around Canada and the US. Board of governors include 1960 Olympic Gold Medal winning coach Jack Riley, Something about Mary director Bobby Farrelly, three-time Stanley Cup winner Igor Larianov, five-time Stanley Cup winner Esa Tikkanen, and 1998 Gold medalist Valery Kamensky.
