From AJHL website: Goaltender of the Week Ryan McInerney Northern Cyclones Ryan didn’t record a shutout this weekend, nor did he post an amazing G.A.A. So why does McInerney get the goalkeeper of the week award??? HE SCORED A GOAL! With 10 seconds remaining and leading by a goal, Ryan faked a pass to his teammate and sent one soaring 180 feet the other way into the empty net. This is the first ever goal recorded by a goalkeeper in the history of the AJHL. In fact McInerney is currently the top ranked goalie in the AJHL with a 2.32 GAA . Last year he and his team went to the AJHL/EJHL National Championship game. www.atlantichockey.org/goalie_statistics.php?leagueid=77

The Cyclones did not play in the Jr A Tier III National Championship game last year. They lost to the Monarchs in the Semi-Finals

Oops!
That is my mistake, they went to the championship event where the two best teams in the EJHL and the AJHL played, but they did not play in the championship game.
