How about we post the test here and teach people the right answers so they actually learn? Marc, I can send you the test in word format. Is that okay if we do that?

Sure, fire away, so long as USA Hockey doesn't come at me screaming about copyright violations... How long is it? I think it's something that might be better located on the blog for everyone to view.

I've got it... it's a ginormous document (thanks to the less-than-efficient formatting in word), and the answers aren't in it, unless I'm doing something wrong. I'm tempted to make it a PDF and load it somewhere as a general blog resource.

Marc,
Do we need to have it in a different format? I think I can put it into a .pdf for you? Let me know if you need that.

I can easily put it into a PDF as well. But what about the correct answers? Since this is open book, would citing the appropriate passage in the rule book also be useful? What I'm trying to do is come up with a way to present this. My wife suggested I post a question a day and let folks answer & debate on the forum. That'll kill three months, LOL...

A question a day is a good idea.

I would be okay with that and then send all the comments to USA Hockey! lol

No matter the method for your posts...please do it.
I would LOVE to see the discussions about basic rules that are generally misunderstood.
Let's make this happen.

Here's one: Can a player be rostered on a Juniors team & ACHA team at the same time?

Cata-who? Got me... But that's a question for John Cowley, not a ref.

I thought we would be able ask & answer any type of question that may be in the USAH Rulebook or Handbook. My Bad.

If the puck is in the Neutral Zone when play is stopped, the "last play" face-off takes place at the closest face-off spot.
True or False
So, does this mean the player shot the puck out from a different Zone? Was the puck originally in the neutral zone?
This is an example of USA Hockey writing bad questions that do not teach people how to officiate. Why can't they write good questions that they want officials to know and be a learning environment.

Marc? Are you doing a question a day? Or will the test be open for discussion?
