Thanks for the peice in your blog Marc and that move by the NCAA was a real head scratcher.
Where was the letter of intent signed for. ( NCAA )
Or was it for the Giants . That's strange if it was for Vancouver I never heard of intent letters in the CHL before.
Tough past two day's for NCAA losing Daniel Erlich and now Nunn to Van City.
Of note : I mentioned before London put Erlich into the lineup do not stick him with Aliu and Maroon. About 500lbs between them so what does Hunter do ? yup....
Where is he ....he just disappears when he gets behind those two in corners and it's kind of funny though.
Hope everyone across the Plain States through Michigan faired ok with this storm. Just a mess in Ontario today with heavy freezing rain landing on the snow now.
Be safe out there
Thanks Marc for the avatar.

They called it a letter of intent... but I wonder if it wasn't a contract. I've gotten a few private emails about my vitriol in the blog post, but this whole "secret deal" that the Giants held in trust just sounds really really suspicious. I mean, how did word of it get out? Was it something that the Giants got Nunn to sign simply so they could retain his rights? Was it just Nunn who signed it? Because unless his parents signed on too I don't think there's anything there that's legally binding. In one private response I went to far as to compare it to the secret contracts that were common in the era of the ABA/NBA wars.
As far as the weather goes... what storm? It's sunny and 77 here, and I just finished mowing the yard. It's windy as heck though, and it's just 59 (and falling rapidly) 100 miles NW of me in Wichita Falls, so I know it won't last, and tomorrow we'll be back into the chilling 60s.
But it did snow great big flakes here on Thanksgiving.

OK I got it.
So maybe Van City inked him byt that leads me to why. The WHL teams do operate a little different than OHL teams but these contracts are not valid until they join the team.
Did Nunn or his advisor know what he was signing.
Sounds nice in the greater Dallas area but go back to that Miami game a couple years back.
Have always been a big Troy and Leon Lett fan. Have follwed them since the 70's pretty steady and still have my Randy White shirt.
Will you post up todays story on CIS joining NCAA talks. Wait untilt hat story hits the fan up here.
It won't be pretty.

This article? www.thestar.com/Sports/article/281602 Yeah, It's in this morning's blog post. I can hear the anti-American Imperialists rants now. That Miami game "a few years back" was in 1993. I still remember the thunder-sleet while sitting down for Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house in Keller, which is about 16 miles to the NW of the stadium. Oh, and we did have frost this morning as we got down to 31... but we'll be back into the 70's tomorrow.
