You know the problem with artist renderings is things like - won't they have any scoreboards beyond those little things on the wall - with no penalty times? No video board?
Does look nice, though.

That reminds me of the story Tim Best told me several years ago, during my first visit to Wichita Falls. He was being shown around the Kay Yeager Coliseum during it's construction. The foreman asked him "So, what do you think?" Tim asked him "Where's the press box?" The foreman got a puzzled look on his face, looked at Tim and said "Press box? What press box?" They ended up building a wooden platform at the top of the building.
Kinda like the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where us radio guys are shoved into the top of the building, in the corner, behind the goal. Gorgeous building, no consideration that media might cover events there.

I call it the Tim Best Memorial Tree House. The finally painted it a few years ago (red), which reduces the splinters. They also added some insulation to the outer wall of the arena, so the acoustics are a little better. I don't think they ever adjusted the speakers, though, the PA is still garbled as ever.
The worst part of the tree house, you are at eye-level with the cat-walks, such that you have to bend over (hence why I call it KY Coliseum) to see the scoreboard. After awhile I would just put my knees in the chair, lay out across the table on my belly overlooking the rail, and call games in a prone position all night. It was easier on my back that way.
